Glasgow Warriors will train at Rangers FC’s training base at Murray Park tomorrow ahead of the deciding leg of the David Lloyd 1872 Cup at Firhill on Friday 2 January (kick-off 3pm). The Warriors, who are indebted to Rangers for the opportunity to train on a first-class indoor surface at this cold time of year, last trained at the state-of-the-art facility in January 2008 ahead of one of the club’s biggest games – the Heineken Cup clash against Saracens – and this week is set to be another massive game for Glasgow. Glasgow Warriors head coach Sean Lineen said: “The players and I are extremely grateful to Rangers FC for this fantastic opportunity to train at Murray Park ahead of Friday afternoon’s game against Edinburgh. ”It’s hugely important to get the very best out of the players in the build-up to such a big game and it’s thanks to Rangers that we have the chance to train on such a great surface - which is very hard to come by at this time of year.” Tickets for Friday afternoon’s game – priced at £20 for adults, £10 for concessions and £5 for under 18s – are available online 24 hours-a-day by clicking here. Tickets can also be purchased on the day of the game – the ticket outlets at Firhill open at 1pm. |
