Fridays result has been hard for all of us to take. However, we’ve now got a chance to put things right this week. Last year, we had to bite our tongues for four months until the rematch but we can all look forward to a massive game on Friday afternoon at Firhill. The Glasgow fans that came through to Murrayfield were incredible and on behalf of the team, I’d like to thank them all for their support. The players all feel very disheartened with how they performed in front of such a great crowd. It was the Glasgow fans that set the tone for a fantastic atmosphere and they certainly did all they could to spur us on to better things. Although our performance wasn’t good enough on the day, we’re all professional athletes and I’ve no doubt the squad will bounce back and return to the kind of form everyone has become familiar with this year - and that starts this week. This week, after a recovery session on Sunday, we got underway with a very honest and open review of the game at Firhill which took around two hours before we had a full-contact session on the pitch. However, we have now had enough time to reflect on last week and we’re now fully focussed on putting things right on Friday afternoon. Firhill has become something of a fortress for us and its imperative it stays that way if we are to achieve our goal of improving on last years fifth place finish in the Magners League. Once again, on behalf of all the players I thank you for your continued support and look forward to seeing you all on Friday. Kind regards, |
