TICKET INFORMATION

Scottish Rugby Ticket Centre opening hours (weeks leading up to game days only):
Edinburgh leg: Monday 22 December to Wednesday 24 December 9am to 5pm.
Glasgow leg: Monday 29 December to Wednesday 31 December 9am to 5pm.
Tickets for both games are available to buy online 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Q: Can I buy tickets on the day?
A: Yes, however we would encourage supporters to purchase tickets prior to the game.  You will be able to pick up your pre-purchased ticket(s) for the Boxing Day fixture on the day of the match from the Ticket Centre, from 4pm.  The Ticket Centre will then be open for cash sales from 5.30pm. 

 On Friday 2 January, the ticket outlets will open at 1pm for ticket sales and collections.

 We would encourage you to come and collect tickets early before both fixtures as we will be extremely busy in the hours prior to the match.

Q: I forgot to apply for the offer but I still have my Autumn Test ticket – can I still apply?
A: Sorry, the deadline for applications is now past and no further free Magners tickets can be issued.

Q: I’ve got my free ticket but now find I need another one – what do I do?
A: Further tickets can be purchased from the Scottish Rugby Ticket Centre (see above)

Q: Since buying my ticket, my mobility has been affected. Who can I ask for assistance and what happens if I’m physically unable to get to the area I have a ticket for?
A: We would advise that you contact our Ticket Office in advance if there has been any change in your circumstances however, if this is not possible, please contact your nearest steward on the day.  We have a dedicated team within the stadium that will look after spectators with such difficulties.

PARKING

Q: Can I park at the stadium?
A: There is limited parking for Edinburgh Season Ticket Holders within the Coach Park to the rear of Murrayfield Ice Rink.  This is strictly on a first come first served basis, accessed via Saughtonhall Avenue. Other supporters should note that, due to work on the Edinburgh tram initiative and the Water of Leith flood prevention scheme, there will be no further car parking at Murrayfield Stadium on 26 December.

 There is no public parking available at Firhill stadium. Hospitality guests will receive parking information alongside their tickets and passes.

Q:  Where can I park near the stadium?
A: Lothian & Borders Police have confirmed the following information regarding parking for Boxing Day.  In order to maintain emergency access to the stadium, there are restrictions in place on the following roads. 
o Roseburn street (Northside) from Westfield Road to eastmost point of the stadium boundary on Roseburn Street.
o Riversdale Crescent, both sides from Corstorphine Rd to 25m west of Riversdale Bridge.
o Saughtonhall Avenue, Northside from Saughtonhall Drive to Saughtonhall Bridge.
o In addition, spectators should be aware that from 6.30pm people can park their cars on the greenway, other than where there are double red lines.

Q: What about coaches / minibuses?
A: There will be limited coach and minibus parking within the Coach Park at Murrayfield Stadium however this will be strictly on a first-come-first-served basis.  The Coach Park should be accessed from Saughtonhall Avenue.

Q: I am disabled – can I park at the stadium?
A: Yes.  Disabled spectators will be accommodated within our disabled car park which is situated behind the West Stand beside the Edinburgh Rugby Office.  Access is via Saughtonhall Avenue and thereafter as directed by stewards.
Disabled spectators arriving in cars will be accommodated as far as is reasonably practical and should arrive as above clearly displaying their blue badge.


ACCESS ARRANGEMENTS & SEATING

Q: How do I get into the stadium?
A: At Murrayfield Turnstiles will be open at the North side of the stadium on Roseburn Street and at Roseburn Crescent.

At Firhill, access to the Jackie Husband stand is via south drive which is located to the right of the main stand on Firhill Road.

Q: I have difficulty using a turnstile.
A: Please contact a steward at the turnstile area who will happily assist with access through the nearest gate.

Q:  Where do we sit at Murrayfield and at Firhill – are the seats reserved?
A: At Murrayfield, seats will not be reserved. Edinburgh Supporters (Season Ticket Holders and those who have redeemed their voucher saying they are Edinburgh supporters) will sit in the Lower West stand.
Glasgow Warriors Supporters (Season Ticket Holders and those who have redeemed their voucher saying they are Glasgow supporters) will sit in the Lower East stand.
           Purchases made on the day will be seated in the Upper East stand.

 At Firhill, there is an unreserved seating policy in operation. All Glasgow and Edinburgh season ticket holders will sit in the Jackie Husband stand. If the Jackie Husband stand reaches capacity, then the main stand will be opened. If that then reaches capacity, the north stand will open.

Q: What do I do if there’s a problem with my seating area?
A: Please contact your section steward who will be able to assist you or contact someone who can help.


STADIUM FACILITIES

Q: Can I bring a camera?
A: Yes, pocked sized cameras are permitted however large professional cameras are not.

Q: Can I bring an air horn?
A: Yes, however only mechanised air horns (blow through / wind up) are allowed - pressurised containers are not permitted.

Q: Can I bring rucksacks or suitcases?
A: Small backpacks are permitted however suitcases or larger items will be denied access.  We assume no responsibility for baggage within the stadium.  Rucksacks or similar will be subject to a search before entry.

Q: I want to bring along my one-year-old child?
A: No problem, however we would remind you that this a rugby match with a large crowd, music etc which may not be suitable for a child so young.

Q: Does my one-year-old child need a match ticket?
A: Children aged under two are admitted free of charge provided they sit on the parent’s / guardian’s knee.

Q: Can I bring a buggy into the stadium?
A: No.  There is no facility for buggies and there is no facility for buggy drop-off and collection.

Q: Is there a baby changing facility available?
A: No.

Q: Can I bring juice into the stadium?
A: Cans cannot be brought into the stadium as part of the stadium ground rules.  However, a relaxation has been given to plastic bottles of soft drinks and water of up to 500ml. Please note: the lid must be sealed and intact.   Alcohol is not allowed to be brought into the stadium.

Q: Can I bring food into the stadium?
A: There are catering outlets throughout the stadium and therefore there should be no requirement.

Q: What happens if I have special dietary requirements, though?
A: We will not stop anyone bringing food or drink into the stadium under these circumstances, providing that any soft drinks / water are in SEALED plastic bottles no larger than 500ml.

Q: Can you purchase alcohol in the stadium?
A: Yes.  Murrayfield and Firhill will be licensed for both matches, with bars and food outlets opening at the same time as our turnstiles. On Boxing Day, the President’s Suite in the West Stand will be open to everyone.

Q:  Can I take my drink to my seat?
A: Yes.

Q:  Will I be able to smoke in stadium?
A: No.  Smoking is not permitted anywhere within the stadium.

Q: Will there be a pass in / pass out section?
A: No.

Q: I would like an announcement made at half time for a birthday / proposal etc?
A: At Murrayfield, if you would like such an announcement, please email This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it prior to 5pm on 24 December. Due to the entertainment schedule at Firhill, no such announcements are made.

Q: If I feel unwell during the match, can I get help?
A: Yes, we have a full medical team on duty for your safety and wellbeing, including first aid, paramedics and doctors.  Please contact your nearest steward, in the first instance.  The First Aid room is located at ground level in the South West corner of the stadium.

Q: Is there somewhere we can go to get players’ autographs after the match?
A: At Murrayfield, players will exit their changing rooms by the players’ tunnel, in the centre of the West concourse and may sign autographs. At Firhill, players will exit via the main entrance of the main stand.

TRANSPORT

Q: Can you tell me about public transport to Murrayfield?
A: There is limited public transport in Scotland due to the Public Holiday. Supporters should check before travelling with their local service providers or click on the following links: www.edinburgh.gov.uk/transportedinburgh/Buses, www.lothianbuses.com and www.citylink.co.uk
 
Q:  Can you tell me about getting to Firhill?
A:  By Car:
 From The West:
 Leave the M8 at Junction 17 and follow the A81, Maryhill Road towards Maryhill. Turn right into Firhill Road for the ground.

 From The East:
 Leave the M8 at Junction 16 and follow the A81, Maryhill Road towards Maryhill. Turn right into Firhill Road for the ground.

 By Train / Underground:
 Maryhill Station is the closest train station to the ground, but it is still a fair walk away (20-25 minutes). It is served by trains from Glasgow Queen Street, but it may be best instead to use the Underground.

 By Underground:
 St. Georges Cross:
 Head North up Maryhill Road until you see the stadium (on Firhill road just off Maryhill road). It should take around 10-15 minutes to walk.
