Glasgow Warriors flying centre, Max Evans, has been called up to the Scotland squad as one of five changes for the international match against Canada in Aberdeen on Saturday.

Max Evans is included in a senior Scotland 22 for the first time while fellow Glasgow Warrior, John Barclay, continues to make the open-side flanker position his own - getting his third start form three in the Bank of Scotland Corporate Autumn Tests, Dougie Hall and Dan Parks will join Max on the bench.

Three players injured during last weekend's loss to South Africa - Chris Paterson, Thom Evans and Jason White, are omitted. No 8 Simon Taylor, who missed the first two Bank of Scotland Corporate Autumn Tests, is fit again, while also introduced are wingers Simon Webster and Nikki Walker and flanker Alasdair Strokosch, with Rory Lamont switching to full-back.

Scotland coach Frank Hadden said: "There is an element of freshening up the squad and it s also an opportunity to look at certain blends ahead of the Six Nations but, as ever, the selection is about winning the game."
