With over 32,000 tickets sold already for this Saturday’s Bank of Scotland Corporate Autumn Test, Scottish rugby hopes the hot ticket offer will entice more students to Murrayfield. Following the dramatic start to Autumn Tests against New Zealand the second match against the Springboks is set to be yet another electrifying encounter as Scotland face big name players like the flying winger Brian Habana and no-nonsense back-row hard-man Schalk Berger. In addition to the cut price deal, Scottish Rugby is also offering ALL supporters to each Autumn Test the opportunity to book their free ticket to the Edinburgh v Glasgow Warriors Magners League match at Murrayfield on Boxing Day. Tickets for the Bank of Scotland Corporate Autumn Tests are on sale now. They cost £20, £30 and £50 for adults and £10, £15 and £25 for under-18s for the Murrayfield matches against South Africa. The concession price is also available for full-time students for the SA match. Tickets for the match against Canada, which will be played at Pittodrie Stadium, Aberdeen, are also on sale now at £15, £20 and £30 for adults and £7.50, £10 and £15 for under-18s. Open to UK residents when they buy a ticket for the Bank of Scotland Corporate Autumn Tests. Submit application online by 29 November 2008 for one free 08/09 Magners League ticket. No preferences for specific matches accepted. First 60,000 seats allocated to the Edinburgh v Glasgow Warriors match on Friday 26 December 2008. Apply from 13 October 2008. Under-18s must be accompanied by an adult. The promoter is Scottish Rugby Union plc, Murrayfield, Edinburgh, EH12 5PJ. Edinburgh first played Glasgow in 1872, making the match the longest-running representative derby outwith the international arena in the world of rugby. The 1872 Cup was inaugurated last season to reflect that landmark with Glasgow taking the spoils. The 1872 Cup will be contested this season with the Boxing Day fixture at Murrayfield followed by the deciding match at Firhill, Glasgow on Friday 2 January. |
