WARRIORS COOK UP STORM FOR SIZZLING OFFER PDF Print
Friday, 31 October 2008

ImageGlasgow Warriors cooked up a storm at the BBC Good Food Show at the SECC today whilst promoting the free Magners League ticket offer ahead of the Bank of Scotland Corporate Autumn Tests which start next weekend.

Warriors captain Alastair Kellock was put through his paces in the kitchen by Alan Mathieson, Senior Chef Tutor of Nick Nairn Cook School, which had some tasty results.

Kellock said: “We’re looking to set the record for a Magners League crowd this season and further cement the 1872 Cup as the biggest event in Scotland’s professional rugby calendar.

“It’s brilliant that fans going to the Autumn Tests will get the chance to come to the boxing day derby for free, it’s a massive game and one we’re all looking forward too. Let’s hope Glasgow can retain the Cup for another year.”

Under the watchful eye of hooker Fergus Thomson and stand-off/fullback Ruaridh Jackson, Kellock filleted a fish and cooked it for his team-mates.

Thomson added: “Al didn’t look the most natural in the kitchen but I was surprised with the results. It’s testament to the Nick Nairn Cook School because it’s like nothing he’s ever managed to cook before.”
