LEXUS JUNIOR RUGBY COMES TO CARTHA PDF Print
Thursday, 04 September 2008

In the four years since its inception, The Lexus Junior Rugby Festival has quickly become a fixture on many rugby clubs’ sporting calendars, bringing together 4,000 competitors in four age-groups (U13 – U16) from 50 clubs, across the country.

This year the tournament came to the home of Cartha Queen’s Park RFC, one of the many clubs already signed up to the Champions Warriors scheme, and Glasgow back-row Johnnie Beattie went along to the jersey presentation ceremony.

The tournament gives high-class junior players the chance to continue to develop their potential in a competitive but supportive environment; a unique event which Lexus are proud to have made their own, with six regional tournaments taking place over three weekends in September and a national final on Easter Saturday 11 April 2009.

Building on the successes of the previous years’ events, the 2008/09 Lexus Junior Rugby Festival promises to be a rewarding event.

New for 2008 is the involvement of ITV local who will be filming the festivals with a view to showcasing match play on a dedicated area on the ITV Local community website.
